ABOUT JEREMIAH

BACKGROUND

Shortly after the reunification of West and East Germany, I was born to an American father and a German mother in Bonn on the Rhine. After living in Kirkland, WA, for a few years, our growing family moved to Yokohama, Japan, where I grew up. In 2011, we settled in Bellingham, Whatcom County, where my brother and I wrapped up high school with a year of speech and debate in a competitive national league.

EDUCATION AND CAREER

After completing high school, I earned my bachelor of arts in computer science at age 20. My father and brother and I started a family business, teaching English, German, and Latin online, for which I developed the web application.

In 2016, the three of us got into real estate sales, which is a business we've enjoyed working on together. My brother has since moved to Germany, and Dad and I continue the real estate business together here.

Having grown up with native speakers of both English and German, I'm fluent in both those languages; I've also studied Japanese, since I grew up there, and Chinese, since my parents both studied it in college and it has been useful for us in our business.

ELECTED AND VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE

From 2018 to 2020, I served as a Local Director on the Whatcom County Association of Realtors. I've also been a volunteer at Habitat for Humanity building new housing projects and active in our church including the annual Drive-In Burger Outreach.
I would love to put my cultural background and international experience to work to serve the people of Whatcom County.
